This day marks the end of the ten day period of fasting and prayer during the Days of Awe.  Tomorrow begins the heavy lifting – when judgments are poured out upon the wicked nations (including ours)…..

So, I am in a state of celebration.   I get to go in tonight and renew my TR.  If you have let yours lapse, please make the effort to keep it current and to have your own temple clothing and garments for up to two years.  This is part of the preps we have been counseled to have in place.

So far, I got a fabulous b-day massage from my wife for which merits a far better restaurant tomorrow on her birthday.  The problem with having a birthday one day apart is that there is temptation to out-do the other.  We stopped in at the Prince of Wales hotel last time we were in Waterton with the fam and decided that we should try out their restaurant:

Prices are reasonable and the ambiance of exposed beams and the stunning views are worthy.  The only other restaurant options closer to us than an hour away is a cute little family run place by the Carriage Museum, The Cobble Stone Manor in Cardston:

They have a great little place where you can do all you can eat buffet on certain days and I can personally say it is fabulous.  They also have a B&B if you are visiting – maybe doing some “VoG Tourism”?

My mouth is watering tons just thinking about it…..  It is good to have some doom off for a little while.  I celebrate normalcy on this day, as well as one more good year of life.
