You do NOT become a billionaire by getting it wrong on even a few fronts – where it is critical. Calculated risks produce huge windfalls, mistakes in forecasting result in catastrophic losses. Often, in that game, billions are made – and billions are lost. Those who make more correct calls than not, make a few more positives in the plus column – and they are winners. Elon Musk has done a lot of cool stuff. If I could have any car right now, it would be a Tesla sedan – the epitome of engineering in the automotive world…..
In space, he seems to be making his mark, as well. If I could take any engineering job other than the one I have right now, it would be in Elon’s automotive or space business. It would be very aggressive – there. I would have to sell myself in order to stick with it.
So, this guy has it right now. A virtual engineering celeb. He sees a trend and nails it – perfectly. Wait until he takes on Apple and other endeavors…..
This is what he sees coming. It matches with the vision of what this blog is about – not necessarily a good one:
Soon – the naysayers – the “it could never happen here” crowd will be crying in a dusty, post-apocalyptic nightmare and will pine for the days when we were a fair nation who listened to and upheld the words of the Prophets. Our money, our beauty, our pride and greatness (if only in our own minds), will perish with us. The old will end up in the trash bins of history – and a new, perfect system will take its place. One that will last forever.
Here is Mormon’s lament in Chapter 6:
16 And my soul was rent with anguish, because of the slain of my people, and I cried:
17 O ye fair ones, how could ye have departed from the ways of the Lord! O ye fair ones, how could ye have rejected that Jesus, who stood with open arms to receive you!18 Behold, if ye had not done this, ye would not have fallen. But behold, ye are fallen, and I mourn your loss.19 O ye fair sons and daughters, ye fathers and mothers, ye husbands and wives, ye fair ones, how is it that ye could have fallen!21 And the day soon cometh that your mortal must put on immortality, and these bodies which are now moldering in corruption must soon become incorruptible bodies; and then ye must stand before the judgment-seat of Christ, to be judged according to your works; and if it so be that ye are righteous, then are ye blessed with your fathers who have gone before you.
