The Law of Opposition, The Adversary and The Holy Ghost
I have learned the value behind personal revelation and learning by the Spirit to our hearts and minds; it curtails the law of opposition because Satan can’t… “know the thoughts or intents of our heart”. Let me explain.
If we seek too quickly for “physical manifestations” where the lesson could be more easily obtained through the “still small voice” then the adversary is allowed to exercise the physical “hell manifestation” in opposition to the “heavenly manifestation”.
My point being let’s seek the Holy Ghost and the still small voice by prayer in all things and once we’ve learned and been guided to all the lessons the Holy Ghost has for us to learn then we will entertain heavenly messengers and be strong enough with sufficient love in our souls from the Spirit to keep us from caving when the physical “fears” come a knocking.
This path of taking the Holy Spirit as our guide and holding to it as a rod of iron for all things is the only way we won’t wander off in strange paths.
D&C 6:16 Yea, I tell thee, that thou mayest know that there is none else save God that knowest thy thoughts and the intents of thy heart. D&C 11:18 Keep my commandments; hold your peace; appeal unto my Spirit;
19 Yea, cleave unto me with all your heart, that you may assist in bringing to light those things of which has been spoken–yea, the translation of my work; be patient until you shall accomplish it.
20 Behold, this is your work, to keep my commandments, yea, with all your might, mind and strength.
21 Seek not to declare my word, but first seek to obtain my word, and then shall your tongue be loosed; then, if you desire, you shall have my Spirit and my word, yea, the power of God unto the convincing of men.
D&C 45:57 For they that are wise and have received the truth, and have taken the Holy Spirit for their guide, and have not been deceived—verily I say unto you, they shall not be hewn down and cast into the fire, but shall abide the day.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Moroni 8:26 And the remission of sins bringeth meekness, and lowliness of heart; and because of meekness and lowliness of heart cometh the visitation of the Holy Ghost, which Comforter filleth with hope and perfect love, which love endureth by diligence unto prayer, until the end shall come, when all the saints shall dwell with God.
3 Nephi 18:18 Behold, verily, verily, I say unto you, ye must watch and pray always lest ye enter into temptation; for Satan desireth to have you, that he may sift you as wheat. 19 Therefore ye must always pray unto the Father in my name;
2 Nephi 32:8 And now, my beloved brethren, I perceive that ye ponder still in your hearts; and it grieveth me that I must speak concerning this thing. For if ye would hearken unto the Spirit which teacheth a man to pray, ye would know that ye must pray; for the evil spirit teacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth him that he must not pray.
9 But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul. “Cristo (White Shroud)” by J.
